Job summary

The University of Chicago Law School seeks an Associate Director of Career Services to join its team, providing comprehensive career services to students and alumni, with emphasis on advising, communications, programs, employment opportunities, and reporting. This role reports to the Senior Director of Career Services.

The position requires leadership in coaching, program development, and collaboration with employers and alumni to expand opportunities for graduates of the Law School.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of work experience in a related job discipline.
• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Post-baccalaureate degree (JD or Master’s) strongly preferred.
• Excellent coaching, organizational, interpersonal, and verbal/written communication skills.
• Ability to respect confidentiality of counseling and institutional information.

Responsibilities

• Delivers a wide range of career counseling and advising for JD and LLM students and alumni.
• Develops and coordinates Career Services programming and events.
• Manages communications to keep students informed about resources, internships, and job opportunities.
• Develops employer relations and alumni job contacts.
• Maintains records for reporting obligations and assists in data reporting.
