Job summary

Sealaska seeks an Assistant Controller to lead the full accounting cycle for Gregg Drilling and Pitcher Services and manage the accounting staff. The role closes books monthly, prepares financial statements, reconciles accounts, and handles intercompany billing and consolidation.

This hybrid position requires strong US GAAP knowledge, multi-entity experience, and supervisory skills. CPA preferred; transition support with operations included.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• 3+ years of supervisory or management experience.
• Experience in construction, drilling, equipment-intensive field services, or a project-based industry strongly preferred.
• CPA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Close and finalize monthly, quarterly, and year-end closes and deliver draft financial statements.
• Prepare consolidated financial statements with intercompany eliminations and variance analyses.
• Load budgets/forecasts and prepare budget-to-actual reports for Controller and Operations.
• Prepare journal entries, accruals and allocations compliant with US GAAP.
