King & Bishop is seeking an experienced Assistant Controller to support accounting operations across multiple entities. Reporting to the Controller, you will drive financial reporting, process improvements, and internal controls while integrating newly acquired businesses.

The ideal candidate has hands-on corporate accounting experience, a strong public accounting background, and a collaborative leadership approach. CPA is required, with ERP and NetSuite experience highly valued.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• CPA designation required.
• 3-5 years of public accounting experience.
• Hands-on corporate accounting experience including GL, close, reconciliations, and financial statements.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls.
• Experience managing month-end and year-end close processes.
• Advanced Excel skills and proficiency with ERP systems.
• Analytical, organized, and collaborative with cross-functional teams.

Responsabilidades

• Support the Controller in overseeing daily accounting operations across multiple entities.
• Lead accounting integration efforts for acquisitions, including chart of accounts alignment and reporting.
• Manage month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities.
• Prepare and review GAAP-compliant financial statements accurately and timely.
• Oversee general ledger, reconciliations, journal entries, and reporting.
• Implement and improve accounting systems, internal controls, and procedures.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow analysis.
• Ensure compliance with policies, tax filings, and audit procedures.
• Collaborate with finance, operations, payroll and other departments to improve processes.
• Train and mentor accounting staff and document policies and procedures.
• Support ERP implementations and multi-entity accounting projects.
