Abacus Group, LLC seeks an Assistant Controller for their Los Angeles, CA office in a hybrid arrangement. You will lead monthly and quarterly reporting, budgeting and forecasting processes, and collaborate with tax advisors, auditors, and external lenders.

The role requires 5–8 years of accounting experience, strong GAAP expertise, and a disciplined, self-starting approach. CPA is preferred; the candidate will interact across departments and support operations including HR and benefits.

Qualifications

• 5-8 years of accounting experience.
• Strong technical accounting/GAAP knowledge.
• Organized with keen attention to detail.
• A self-starter with high ethical standards.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsabilités

• Report to the VP of Finance and support the preparation of budgets and forecasts
• Responsible for monthly and quarterly financial reporting packages
• Complete and review fund-level and project-level models and business plans
• Support system integration and investor reporting to institutional and HNW investors
• Assist with maintaining capital market relationships with senior lenders
• Oversee all cash management and corporate-level treasury services
• Work with third-party accounting teams, tax consultants, and outside auditors
• Assist with all aspects of operations including insurance, HR, and benefits matters
