Job summary

The HT Group in Los Angeles, CA, is seeking a hands-on Controller to lead day-to-day accounting operations and drive strong internal controls. This direct-hire, hybrid role partners with executives, FP&A and auditors to deliver timely financial reporting.

Ideal candidates bring deep technical accounting knowledge, 8+ years of experience (3+ in Controller roles), and a proactive leadership style. Compensation includes up to $175K base plus bonus, DOE.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field; MBA preferred.
• 8+ years progressive accounting experience; 3+ years in Controller or Assistant Controller role.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP, internal controls and financial reporting.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor accounting team across AP, AR, Tax, Treasury and Payroll.
• Oversee monthly, quarterly and annual GAAP financial reporting with accuracy.
• Maintain and enhance internal controls and regulatory compliance.
• Coordinate annual audits with external auditors and tax advisors.
• Manage cash flow forecasting, banking relationships and treasury ops.
• Identify process improvements and automation to increase efficiency.
• Partner with FP&A, Operations, HR and other departments on budgeting and forecasting.
• Ensure integrity of financial systems and support ERP implementation.
