Asset Living seeks an Assistant Controller to lead a team of accountants, ensuring GAAP-compliant financial statements for a group of clients. You will collaborate with the Controller and CFO to align budgets, controls, and reporting with client needs.

Ideal candidates have CPA eligibility, 3rd party multi-family management experience, and strong analytical, interpersonal, and organizational skills. This safety-sensitive role emphasizes accuracy and accountability within a hybrid work model.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master’s Degree in Accounting or Finance.
• CPA Eligible or CPA Preferred.
• 3rd party multi-family property management experience.
• Experience leading or managing a team of accountants.

Responsabilités

• Supervise the accounting for a specific team of accountants.
• Ensure delivery of financial statements by client deadlines.
• Communicate with clients about financial performance and respond to questions.
• Ensure accuracy of financial statements prepared by the team.
• Review rent rolls, reconcile bank statements, and monitor monthly operating results vs. budget.
• Coordinate with operations to prepare and approve yearly budgets.
• Collaborate with Controller/CFO to set departmental goals and procedures.
• Participate in hiring and annual reviews for accounting staff.
• Support audit responses and propose procedures improvements.
• No travel required.
