Job summary

Ledgent Finance & Accounting is seeking an Accounts Receivable Specialist in Los Angeles for a hybrid role. You will manage the full AR cycle, including invoicing, cash applications, and collections, partnering with Sales and Operations to optimize cash flow.

The ideal candidate has at least 2 years in AR, strong Excel skills, and experience with high-volume accounts in tech, SaaS, or telecom environments. California-based hybrid schedule offered.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of accounts receivable experience with a focus on collections and cash applications.
• Experience managing high-volume customer accounts.
• Strong understanding of billing procedures and account reconciliations.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience in telecommunications, technology, SaaS, or recurring revenue environments is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, review, and distribute customer invoices with billing accuracy and contract compliance.
• Apply daily customer payments (ACH, wire, lockbox) and maintain records in the accounting system.
• Proactively manage collections and communicate with customers on balances and discrepancies.
• Reconcile customer accounts and resolve short payments, deductions, and disputes promptly.
• Monitor aging reports and escalate delinquent accounts as needed.
• Collaborate with Sales, Customer Success, and Operations to resolve billing issues.
• Assist month-end close with AR reconciliations, reporting, and schedules.
• Generate weekly/monthly AR reports with updates on collection efforts and cash receipts.
• Maintain accurate customer records and audit-ready documentation.
• Identify opportunities to streamline billing and collection processes.
