Job summary

Transamerica is seeking an Intermediate Cyber Security Engineer to join the Enterprise Technology group in a hybrid Denver-based role. You will support application security initiatives, assess vulnerabilities, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to strengthen controls.

The role requires 1–3 years of cyber security engineering experience and a solid foundation in secure SDLC, risk management, and security technologies. Hybrid work with three in-office days per week in Denver is offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent education and experience.
• 1–3 years of cyber security engineering work experience.
• Experience in application security domains including secure SDLC, testing, and risk management.
• Knowledge of control frameworks such as NIST CSF.

Responsibilities

• Identify weaknesses and vulnerabilities and support security frameworks and standards.
• Gather data, draft reports, and create dashboards for stakeholders.
• Review vulnerabilities across on‑premise and cloud environments and support remediation.
• Assist with secure SDLC activities, testing, and remediation tracking.
• Support information security initiatives and policy development.
• Enhance vulnerability management through reporting and process improvements.
• Promote secure coding practices and educate teams on SDLC requirements.
