Job summary

Transamerica is seeking an Intermediate Cyber Security Engineer in a hybrid role based in Denver, CO or Cedar Rapids, IA. You will join the Enterprise Technology Security team to strengthen application security, perform vulnerability analysis, and support secure SDLC practices amid a fast-paced environment.

You’ll work with incident response, risk management, and stakeholders to implement controls, report findings, and promote secure coding.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, Auditing, Finance, or Business or equivalent.
• 1–3 years of cyber security engineering experience.
• Experience with application security domains: SAST/DAST, threat modeling, API security, container security.

Responsibilities

• Identify weaknesses and vulnerabilities and support security frameworks and regulatory standards such as NIST CSF.
• Review vulnerabilities across on-premise and cloud environments.
• Support SDLC security activities, static and dynamic testing, remediation tracking, and coordination with development teams.
• Promote secure coding practices and act as an application security ambassador.
