Henkel in Rocky Hill, CT is seeking a technically strong engineer to join our Adhesive Technologies business unit as a Senior Application Engineer. You will lead cross-functional teams, deploy technical strategies at customers, manage new applications, and drive product development initiatives across regions.
The role requires up to 50% travel domestically, deep knowledge of electronics, mechanical, chemical properties, and experience with coatings, adhesives, and antennas.
Qualifications
- Master's degree required in Electrical/Electronics Engineering; chemical/mechanical acceptable with electronics experience.
- High technical, electronic, mechanical and chemical aptitude.
- Experience with adhesives, coatings, and functional materials is a plus.
- Aerospace/defense exposure is preferred; antennas and EMI knowledge beneficial.
Responsibilities
- Significant technical contributor to market and application initiatives.
- Direct cross-functional teams to execute technical strategy at customers, including product launches and new application development.
- Lead PD and innovation projects for portfolio gaps with KPI applications and markets.
- Develop technical capability standards and methods for new markets and applications.
- Own North American sourced projects with global cross-regional collaboration on development and commercialization.
- Maintain laboratory equipment and uphold safety protocols; train and support lab staff.
