FlexStaff is seeking a Certified Professional Coder for a medical administration practice in Westchester, NY. The role focuses on reviewing anesthesia records and assigning CPT/ICD-10 codes with adherence to current guidelines.

Candidates should have 2+ years of experience, strong anatomy/physiology knowledge, and EPIC experience is a plus. The position offers hybrid work with three onsite days and two remote days.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of professional coding experience, ideally in anesthesia or surgery.
• Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and coding guidelines.
• Experience with EPIC is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review clinical documentation to determine procedures and diagnoses.
• Assign accurate CPT and ICD-10 codes in accordance with current guidelines.
• Post charges and ensure compliance with payer and regulatory requirements.
• Reconcile posted charges against operating room schedules.
• Maintain coding accuracy and meet daily productivity targets.
