Job summary

The Regents of the University of California on behalf of their Los Angeles Campus, via UCLA, is seeking an Assistant Director to lead UCLA ONE and expand engagement across digital communities and channels. You will manage strategy, daily operations, and growth of the networking platform, collaborating with External Affairs to improve user experiences and develop mentorship programs for Bruins.

Qualifications

• Two or more years in nonprofit/education tech or related environment.
• Experience managing an online community and platform for growth with user acquisition strategies.
• Experience expanding online communities and improving user experience and partner engagement.
• Responding to constituent inquiries in a customer-service oriented environment.
• Canva/Photoshop experience is highly desired.
• Ability to work with volunteers to build programming and initiatives.
• Maintain systems and processes aligning the platform with UCLA branding.
• Collaborate effectively with diverse teams and external partners.
• Navigate social media and edit videos for social channels.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Creative, resourceful in a large dynamic environment.
• Discretion handling confidential matters; strong judgment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; willingness to learn new tech.
• Manage projects with high data volumes leveraging Excel.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategy and daily management of UCLA ONE platform.
• Drive engagement across UCLA Alumni digital channels (LinkedIn, social, email).
• Collaborate with External Affairs to improve user experience and platform alignment.
• Develop mentorship programs and engagement opportunities for Bruins.
• Coordinate projects and initiatives with volunteers and teams across departments.
