Job summary

Canon USA's Sales Training team seeks an Instructional Designer Specialist to develop AI-enhanced learning for new product launches. You will design microlearning, eLearning, and instructor-led materials and partner with SMEs to ensure content accuracy.

The role emphasizes project management, adult-learning principles, and collaboration across multiple offices in a hybrid work environment, including Arlington, VA.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience; 3–5 years in corporate instructional design.
• Preferred concentration in Instructional Technology or related field.
• Hands-on experience designing ILT materials with facilitator guides.
• Proficiency in Articulate 360, Google Docs, PowerPoint, and Word; Synthesia a plus.
• Experience leveraging AI tools to personalize learning.
• Ability to design microlearning and both virtual and in-person training.
• Strong understanding of adult learning principles.

Responsibilities

• Conduct needs assessments to identify performance gaps and define course goals.
• Design and develop AI-enhanced learning experiences using adult learning principles.
• Create content using Articulate 360 and Synthesia, including microlearning and instructor materials.
• Collaborate with SMEs to gather content and ensure accuracy.
• Manage multiple projects with PM best practices.
• Evaluate training effectiveness and stay current with instructional trends.
• Maintain control documents and records per department standards.
