Job summary

Genius AI is seeking its first engineering manager for the Applied AI team. You’ll prototype, pair on agent architecture and evals, and ship hands-on when that’s the fastest way to prove a point.

You must be commutable to our NYC headquarters or San Francisco office, with in‑office presence 3–4 days per week and required attendance on Tuesdays and Thursdays. You’ll build and lead a lean team of engineers, align work to business outcomes like pipeline and revenue, and push the company forward

Qualifications

• Shipped agentic systems with real users in the last 12 months.
• Able to define metrics to measure AI usage and impact.
• Grow output and performance of engineering teams.
• Managed engineers while contributing to code base.

Responsibilities

• Build and lead a lean engineering team and set the standard for an AI-native engineering group.
• Drive business outcomes through GTM metrics (outbound, demos, pipeline).
• Run a tight engagement loop with one-week sprints and Friday demos.
• Make evals a practice and share learnings across teams.
• Route to the right models (frontier then mature open-weight).
• Push new ways of working with DevEx on experiments and standards.
• Say no well by backlog ranking across functions.
