Job summary

Scale AI is seeking an Forward Deployed AI Engineering Manager to bridge cutting-edge AI capabilities with our enterprise customers in New York. You will lead a team that designs AI solutions, integrates them into client workflows, and ensures successful deployment and adoption of AI systems in production environments.

You will work directly with customer engineering teams, translating complex requirements into scalable architectures, building data pipelines, and guiding the development of AI

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering with 3+ years of management experience.
• Production Python expertise with ML/AI frameworks (LangChain, LlamaIndex, HuggingFace, OpenAI API).
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and modern data infra.
• Strong problem-solving skills in ambiguous environments.
• Excellent communication for technical and non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Partner with enterprise customers to understand their tech infra, data pipelines, and business requirements.
• Design and implement custom integrations between Scale AI's platform and customer environments.
• Build data connectors and ETL pipelines for AI workflows.
• Deploy and configure AI models and agents within customer security/compliance boundaries.
• Develop production-grade AI agents for diverse use cases and orchestrate multi-agent systems.
• Design and maintain prompt libraries and RAG/finetuning pipelines.
