Job summary

Great American Insurance Group is seeking an Application Engineering Manager for our P&C IT Services division in a hybrid role combining in-office and remote work. You will lead end-to-end health, delivery, and continuous improvement of application assets supporting EHS and IT Services, aligning development with enterprise priorities.

The role requires 10+ years in software development, 4+ years in leadership, and a Bachelor’s in IT/CS/SE.

Qualifications

10+ years of software/app development experience
4+ years of leadership experience
Direct experience with software development life cycle and modern frameworks

Responsibilities

Oversee application development operations for EHS and IT Services
Plan and execute strategies aligning with organizational goals
Design, implement, and deploy software applications and systems
Ensure performance meets evolving requirements and user expectations
Lead continuous process improvements and high-quality delivery
Provide expert technical support to end-users and team members
Foster a collaborative environment across development, operations, and stakeholders
Promote modern development practices and AI-enabled capabilities
