Job summary

Compass Group NA is seeking a Release Train Engineer to support an Agile Release Train within the Enterprise Technology organization in a hybrid setup around Charlotte. You will steer the ART to success, coordinate PI planning, and collaborate with stakeholders to deliver measurable business value.

The role emphasizes risk management, continuous improvement, and cross-functional alignment across teams, programs, and leadership. Strong Agile leadership and technical background are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
• Agile Certification (CSM, PSM, or PMI-ACP).
• Project Management Professional (PMP).
• SAFe or SAFe certifications preferred.
• Strong technical aptitude and experience leading teams in delivering quality software.
• Experience in an Agile organization using Scrum, XP, Kanban, SAFe, or similar.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate release planning for the ART with prioritized features.
• Refine features for PI planning to meet Definition of Ready.
• Coordinate with stakeholders during feature definition and delivery.
• Manage changes to the ART PI plan and impacts.
• Ensure ART transparency with teams and external parties; backlog & reporting.
• Facilitate ART retrospectives and continuous improvement.
• Coach the Agile release train and improve practices across teams.
