Honeywell Aerospace is seeking a Sr Advanced Mechanical Design Engineer to lead integration of aerospace systems into aircraft, focusing on turbomachinery, heat transfer, and environmental control systems. The role includes driving digital engineering, pursuing automation, and mentoring junior designers across multiple products.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline such as sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics.
• At least 7 years of experience in mechanical design of integrating components and systems for commercial and military aircraft.
• At least 7 years of experience with Siemens NX or similar CAD software.
• At least 7 years of experience with Siemens Teamcenter or similar PLM software.
• At least 7 years of experience using GD&T.
• Ability to support multiple projects.
• Willingness to learn, apply, and mentor others on new design concepts and methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Lead multi-discipline design collaboration to assemble and integrate Honeywell Aerospace System Packs.
• Champion design standards and methods within the larger design team.
• Lead design efforts within the Mechanical Design Engineering team.
• Provide Internal and External customer support for Systems, Turbo, and Heat Transfer products.
• Lead the advancement of digital engineering within the design team.
• Improve existing mechanical designs engineering processes by identifying and eliminating non-value-added tasks and introducing automation (guide files, parametric design, AI, etc.).
• Mentor less-experienced designers.
