Job summary

Honeywell Aerospace is seeking an Advanced Mechanical Design Engineer to integrate environmental control systems into aircraft and to develop turbomachinery and heat transfer products. You will use Siemens NX and Teamcenter to create robust design definitions, coordinating with customers and applying general engineering judgment to complex tasks.

You will apply GD&T, tolerance analyses, materials knowledge, and manufacturing process expertise to deliver manufacturable designs, while

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline such as ME, ST, or math.
• 3+ years in mechanical design for aircraft applications.
• Proficient with GD&T per ASME Y14.5-2009 or newer.
• Experience with tolerance stack-up analysis.
• Experience with Siemens NX and Teamcenter.
• Ability to mentor others and work across teams.
• Willingness to learn and apply new design concepts.

Responsibilities

• Lead multi-discipline design collaboration supporting turbomachinery, heat transfer, and environmental control systems.
• Promote accountability for design standards, methods, and quality.
• Lead design efforts within Mechanical Design Engineering and coordinate with customers to set priorities.
• Apply interfaces, GD&T, tolerances, materials, and manufacturing processes to producible designs.
• Advance digital product definition and Digital Engineering within the team.
• Improve mechanical design processes by eliminating non-value-added tasks and introducing automation/AI.
• Mentor less‑experienced designers and share new concepts.
