Job summary

Maher Duessel, a leading regional CPA firm, is seeking Advisory Supervisors to expand review functions and client service delivery. Hybrid schedule and minimal travel offer balance while maintaining strong client engagement and technical excellence.

The role emphasizes supervising staff, managing multiple engagements, and delivering high-quality financial reporting and advisory services to government and nonprofit clients.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate or graduate degree in accounting or related field to qualify for CPA.
• Minimum of 4 years of accounting experience, preferably in public accounting.
• CPA preferred; other relevant certifications (e.g., CGFM, CFE, CITP) encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Develop staff through delegation and guidance.
• Provide performance feedback and evaluations for staff and seniors.
• Foster an efficient, team-oriented work environment.
• Use technology to improve service delivery and efficiency.
• Direct daily work on client accounting and advisory engagements; plan and supervise phases.
• Develop and maintain relationships with client management and assess satisfaction.
• Understand client operations and advisory needs; adapt service approach accordingly.
• Lead client accounting and advisory projects and deliverables.
• Prepare or review client financial statements and reports; meet deadlines.
• Identify operational and process improvements for clients.
• Identify risks and communicate to advisory leadership.
• Review staff work and ensure compliance with standards and firm policy.
• Continue to improve public speaking and promote firm reputation.
• Manage overtime to complete tasks with engagement team.
• Attend and assist in presenting client statements to leadership.
