Qualifications

• Undergraduate or graduate degree in accounting and/or coursework to qualify for CPA license
• Minimum of 5 years of public accounting experience
• Government and non-profit audit experience preferred
• CPA strongly preferred
• Must have spent at least 1 year as a Supervisor
• Demonstrated high degree of technical knowledge
• Strong communication and networking
• Strong time-management skills
• Teamwork, leadership and client service
• Proven ability to supervise, train and develop staff
• Integrity in professional environment
• Ability to adapt to schedule and travel as needed
• Reliable transportation

Responsabilités

• Provide performance feedback and training, and complete evaluations

• Supervise multiple engagements, managing time and resources

• Identify trends relevant to government and non-profit industries
• Demonstrate understanding of government and non-profit sectors
• Maintain relationships with other engagement teams
• Understand Maher Duessel and its service lines and apply knowledge
• Develop long-term relationships and networks internally and externally
• Participate in performing audit procedures related to complex issues
• Collaborate to plan engagement objectives and audit strategy
• Schedule personnel and improve efficiencies
• Develop and maintain client relationships throughout the year
• Review and evaluate workpapers and financial statements for compliance
• Understand engagement scope and provide input on retention and fees
• Monitor engagement progress and billing of additional services
• Develop and adhere to a billing plan
• Present client financial statements and audit results to the board
• Participate in firm business development and represent the firm at events
• Promote firm reputation through conferences and seminars
• Work towards passing the CPA exam
