Qualifications

• Undergraduate or graduate degree in accounting or CPA-eligible coursework.
• CPA strongly preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of public accounting experience.
• Government and non-profit audit experience preferred.
• Must have spent at least 1 year as a Supervisor.
• Demonstrated a high degree of technical knowledge.
• Excellent communication and networking abilities.
• Strong time-management skills.
• Dedication to teamwork, leadership and client service.
• Proven ability to supervise, train and develop staff.
• Integrity in professional environment and willingness to adapt to travel.

Responsibilities

• Develop people by encouraging independence and responsibility.
• Delegate work across staff levels and provide performance feedback.
• Lead and supervise multiple engagements with proper time/resource management.
• Use technology to improve service delivery and efficiency.
• Communicate trends in government and non-profit sectors.
• Understand Maher Duessel services and apply knowledge effectively.
• Build long-term internal and external relationships.
• Assist in planning audit objectives and strategy per standards.
• Schedule personnel and identify efficiencies.
• Review workpapers and reports for compliance.
• Monitor engagement scope and billing where needed.
• Participate in client presentations and firm business development.
• Represent the firm at professional and community events, and pursue CPA exam progress.
