Job summary

UNC Hospitals Department of Pharmacy has an immediate opening for a highly motivated pharmacist joining the Advanced Clinical Therapeutics Program in Chapel Hill. The Clinical Pharmacist Practitioner will provide care for patients on advanced specialty therapies, coordinate access, safety monitoring, and educational mentorship to students and residents.

Qualifications

Completion of a PGY2 specialty residency in Ambulatory Care, Pharmacotherapy, Specialty Pharmacy or related specialty.
Board certification in Ambulatory Care, Pharmacotherapy or another specialty is preferred.
Three to five years of ambulatory care or specialty pharmacy experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Builds a clinical practice collaborating with physicians to care for clinic patients and determine appropriate treatment plans.
Performs longitudinal dosing and monitoring and ensures medication safety and efficacy.
Coordinates with UNC SSC Pharmacy and MAP to enroll eligible patients in specialty services.
Educates students and residents on experiential rotations and clinical practice updates.
Leads quality improvement initiatives and participates in scholarly activities.
