Job summary

Design Air, a Rheem Manufacturing Company division, is seeking a Supervisor, Accounts Payable in Kimberly, WI to lead the AP team, ensure accurate disbursements, and uphold internal controls while driving process improvements.

This hybrid role includes merger integration support and collaboration with sister organizations, with four on-site days and one remote day weekly. A Bachelor's degree in accounting and 5+ years in AP management are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience with a focus on accounts payable management.
• Proven experience supervising or leading an accounts payable team.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, internal controls, and general ledger operations.
• Experience with ERP systems and AP automation software.

Responsibilities

• Oversee, mentor, and evaluate accounts payable staff, providing backup for leadership as needed.
• Monitor aging reports and metrics to optimize working capital and resolve discrepancies.
• Manage vendor claimbacks, promotional allowances, rebates, and billing disputes tracking and collections.
• Review and approve check runs, electronic payments and wire transfers with proper authorization.
• Maintain accounting controls and SOPs to mitigate risk and ensure compliance.
• Assist with month-end/year-end close, including journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations.
• Drive selection, implementation, and optimization of AP technologies and automation tools.
• Collaborate with sister organizations to share best practices and benchmarking insights.
• Support merger activities, including data migration and standardization for acquired entities.
