Job summary

Alchemy is seeking an Accounts Payable Accountant to own daily AP activities and partner with Accounting and teams to maintain a smooth procure-to-pay cycle. You will work with Zip, NetSuite, and Ramp, handling invoices, payments, vendor onboarding, and reconciliations.

Hybrid role in San Francisco or New York, with in-office benefits and opportunities to optimize workflows. 2–4 years AP experience and strong Excel skills preferred.

Qualifications

• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple AP tasks simultaneously.
• Experience with ERP systems and the ability to learn new P2P, payment, and AI tools.
• Clear, proactive communication with vendors and internal teams.
• Capable of prioritizing deadlines and working independently.
• Curiosity to improve AP processes and reduce manual work.
• Experience with invoice coding, PO matching, and accrual basics.

Responsibilities

• Manage AP inbox, process invoices, and serve as primary point of contact for vendors and internal teams.
• Code and enter invoices in Zip and NetSuite, ensure approvals and PO matching where applicable.
• Prepare payment batches, monitor deadlines, and follow up on missing information.
• Maintain vendor records, tax forms, and verified banking information.
• Investigate discrepancies, duplicate charges, and payment issues; escalate when needed.
• Review employee expenses and Ramp transactions for proper coding and policy compliance.
• Reconcile AP with GL and assist month-end close with accruals and schedules.
