A.O. Smith Corp. is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist in Ashland City, TN for hybrid work. You will handle the AP workflow, verify invoices, and maintain vendor records while supporting timely payments and discounts.

Under supervision, you will research discrepancies, prepare vouchers for payment, and communicate with buyers and vendors to ensure accuracy and compliance with internal controls.

Qualifications

• 3+ years related work experience or training in accounting or AP workflows.
• Experience in accounting and bookkeeping with focus on accounts payable and receivable.
• Excellent deduction management and ability to research discrepancies.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient with Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Prepare bills, invoices, statements, and vouchers for payment.
• Research invoices, returns, and credits; reconcile discrepancies.
• Process and vouch invoices when matched to UVR and approvals.
• Maintain vendor files and assist in collections and shipping verifications.
• Monitor discount opportunities and ensure tax exemptions where applicable.
