Job summary

Windcave is seeking an Accounts Payable Accountant to join the New York-based accounting team. The role reports to the Senior Finance Manager in New Zealand and involves working in a hybrid setup with two work-from-home days.

Key duties include processing invoices, PO management, AP reconciliations, and supporting audits. Requires a Bachelor’s degree in commerce/accounting/finance and 3+ years in AP, with strong MS Office skills and relationship-building abilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in commerce/accounting/finance is required.
• 3+ years of experience in accounts payable.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong planning and time management abilities.
• Excellent attention to detail and professionalism.
• Proficiency in MS Office and ability to learn new systems.
• Ability to build and foster relationships with internal teams and vendors.

Responsibilities

• Process invoices accurately, match with PO, authorize and document payments.
• Create/modify/push purchase orders with proper approvals.
• Perform AP reconciliations and resolve discrepancies with creditors.
• Assist in financial analysis for AP and during audits.
• Maintain vendor records in ERP and manage AP tickets.
• Process staff reimbursements and monitor supplier discounts.
• Support monthly account reconciliations and general admin tasks.
