Recovery Resource Council in the Dallas-Fort Worth area is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to manage vendor payments, ensure proper coding, and resolve discrepancies. This full-time, non-exempt role emphasizes accuracy, confidentiality, and teamwork within a nonprofit setting.

You will maintain vendor records, process checks and ACH payments, assist with POs and monthly reconciliations, and support audits. Hybrid work with in-office days and strong organizational skills are essential.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of progressive accounting experience in a nonprofit setting.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Team player with ability to work in stressful situations and meet deadlines.
• Prior experience with MIP / Microix accounting software preferred.

Responsabilités

• Review coding and authorized approvals, identify errors or discrepancies and resolve before processing.
• Enter/update vendor data, send W9s, and ensure vendor IDs are consistently tagged in the accounting system.
• Research and resolve missing or outstanding backup documentation with staff.
• Assist accounts payable processes including purchase orders and check requests.
• Assist with check preparation, including ACH transactions and web payments.
• Provide accurate backup documentation for all program payments.
• Assist in staff credit card monthly processing and mileage entries.
• Support annual audit by preparing reports and documentation as directed.
