Job summary

Summit Staffing Partners represents a Midtown Manhattan-based financial services client seeking an Accounts Payable Analyst to join their internal team on a consulting-to-hire basis. The role offers a hybrid schedule (3 days in the office, 2 days from home) with the opportunity to own the full AP cycle, support month-end close, and contribute to process improvements in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Hands-on accounts payable experience with vendor setup, invoicing, and payment processing.
• Strong understanding of AP workflows, controls, and best practices.
• Advanced Excel skills including PivotTables and VLOOKUPs.
• Ability to manage high-volume processing accurately and on time.

Responsibilities

• Own the full-cycle accounts payable process from vendor setup to GL entry.
• Prepare and process high-volume payments (checks, ACH, wires) with proper approvals.
• Review invoices and supporting docs; resolve discrepancies and classify expenses.
• Maintain vendor records and onboarding, collect W-9s, NDAs, etc.
• Serve as primary contact for vendors and respond to inquiries.
