Job summary

Berkeys Air Conditioning, Plumbing & Electrical is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join our Accounting team. This hybrid, full-time role focuses on the complete AP cycle, including PO management, invoicing, and payments, while coordinating with operations and lenders to ensure accurate records.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years of full-cycle AP experience, strong attention to detail, and proficiency with ERP systems and financing platforms such as ServiceTitan and Sage

Qualifications

• 3+ years of full-cycle accounts payable experience.
• Strong knowledge of three-way matching, GL coding, accruals, vendor payments, and 1099 reporting.
• Experience with an ERP or cloud-based accounting system.
• Experience exporting/importing and reconciling financial data between systems.
• Experience with consumer financing programs such as Service Finance, HD Service Finance, GoodLeap, or similar platforms.
• Intermediate Excel skills (VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, pivot tables, formulas).
• Must live within 25 miles of the Southlake, TX office and be able to commute four days per week.

Responsibilities

• Manage the full accounts payable cycle from PO through vendor payment.
• Perform three-way matching of POs, invoices, and receipts.
• Code expenses to GL accounts, departments, and cost centers.
• Prepare and process vendor payments by check, ACH, wire, or card.
• Maintain vendor records including W-9 and tax IDs.
• Support year-end 1099 preparation and reporting.
• Create and maintain purchase orders in ServiceTitan.
• Reconcile lender funding amounts and financing fees to invoices.
• Assist month-end close by reconciling data between systems.
• Identify opportunities to improve AP processes and controls.
