Job summary

State of California’s Department of Public Health seeks a General Ledger Fiscal Data Specialist to compile, review, and analyze complex fiscal data and support MEC/Year End tasks in FI$Cal. The role reports to Accounting Administrator II and is eligible for telework with hybrid scheduling.

The position offers a salary of $6,623.00 to $8,290.00 per month with PLP 2025 adjustments noted and benefits including medical, dental, vision, pension, and retirement programs.

Qualifications

• Apply accounting principles to perform daily accounting functions.
• Analyze data and interpret accounting information.
• Proficient in Month End/Year End processes.
• Strong written and verbal communication with internal stakeholders.
• Intermediate to advanced Excel and Access skills.

Responsibilities

• Compile, review, and analyze high-volume fiscal data to ensure accuracy.
• Provide technical support for MEC and Year End tasks in FI$Cal and mentor staff.
