Job summary

ArmadaCare in Timonium, MD seeks an Accounting Operations Manager to oversee day-to-day accounting and provide technical accounting leadership. You will manage AR, treasury, and payroll support, driving process improvements and strengthening internal controls.

You will lead a team, collaborate with the Controller, and promote accountability in a fast-paced environment. Hybrid work Tue-Thu in office with comprehensive benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience including AR, treasury & billing.
• 2+ years of management or supervisory experience.
• Strong spreadsheet and database skills.
• Experience utilizing AI in transaction analysis is a plus.
• Familiarity with banking systems and electronic transactions.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain detail orientation.

Responsibilities

• Oversee AR, client account reconciliation, and monthly bank reconciliation.
• Manage cash flow and treasury functions.
• Lead monthly invoice review and respond to Client Broker Services requests.
• Process broker commissions and transition calculations to staff.
• Perform yearly internal audits on broker commissions and billing rates.
• Provide payroll and accounts payable support as needed.
• Coach and develop staff accounting team; promote accountability and high performance.
• Foster cross-department collaboration to align with financial objectives.
• Conduct performance reviews and provide ongoing feedback.
• Assign and prioritize workload to meet deadlines.
