Vaco Recruiter Services is seeking an Accounting Manager to oversee key accounting functions in a multi-entity environment. The role emphasizes financial reporting, month-end close, and leadership of a small accounting team.

The ideal candidate has a strong technical accounting foundation, preferably from public accounting, and can balance hands-on work with team leadership. A flexible hybrid schedule and exposure to acquisitions are offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• Public accounting experience strongly preferred, ideally combined with corporate accounting experience.
• CPA certification highly preferred.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience including financial reporting, general ledger accounting, and month-end close.
• Experience supervising, mentoring, or reviewing the work of accounting staff preferred.

Responsabilités

• Oversee month-end and year-end close activities, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting across multiple entities.
• Review and prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting financial schedules.
• Manage general ledger accounting and ensure GAAP compliance and internal controls.
• Prepare and review financial statements, analyses, and management reporting.
• Supervise and develop accounting staff, reviewing work and ensuring accountability for responsibilities.
• Support inventory accounting activities including physical counts, reconciliations, and reporting.
• Assist with acquisition accounting activities including financial integration and consolidation of acquired entities.
• Partner with internal stakeholders to resolve issues and improve financial processes.
• Support annual audits, including preparation of schedules and responses to auditor requests.
• Evaluate existing procedures to strengthen controls and efficiency.
• Assist with system enhancements, integrations, and other process improvements.
