Job summary

Fastly is seeking a proactive Accounting Manager to own Cost of Revenue (COR) accounting, including accruals, fixed assets, and internal-use software. You will partner with FP&A, Supply Chain, Infrastructure, Product, and Engineering to ensure accurate month-end close and reporting.

The role requires a CPA-leaning mindset, 7+ years of progressive accounting experience including management at a public company, and a strong emphasis on control, process improvement, and strategic cross-functional

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting
• 7+ years progressive accounting experience, including managerial level at a public company
• Experience with Fixed Asset and Internal-use Software accounting
• Experience with NetSuite
• Ability to think strategically and drive results
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Ability to lead projects to closure
• Ability to apply AI tools responsibly to accelerate close processes while maintaining controls

Responsibilities

• Lead and improve processes for the Cost of Revenue Corporate Accounting team
• Oversee monthly closing activities and ensure SOX compliance
• Review account balances and classifications; analyze balance sheet/income statement changes
• Identify potential SOX impacts and update risk/control documentation
• Deliver timely financial reporting with cross-functional collaboration
• Support SEC reporting and policy reviews; assist with 10-Q/K footnotes
• Drive process improvements to close and other accounting processes
• Handle ad hoc projects as needed
