Job summary

Enact Mortgage Insurance invites an Accountant to join our Raleigh, NC headquarters with a hybrid schedule. You will support monthly closings, reconcile ledgers, and assist in ensuring SOX/MAR compliance and accurate GAAP/statutory reporting.

This is an early-career, full-time role within a growing financial operations team. Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor’s in Accounting with 1+ year of relevant experience, strong Excel skills, and the ability to collaborate across teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required.
• At least 1 year of accounting or financial reporting experience with US GAAP.
• Strong Excel and MS Office skills; detail-oriented with accuracy.
• SOX and MAR compliance support experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and record general journal entries for monthly, quarterly, and annual close.
• Reconcile general ledger accounts and resolve discrepancies.
• Support SOX/MAR compliance activities and maintain process docs.
• Handle Accounts Payable tasks, payments, ACH and wires.
• Assist with GAAP and Statutory reporting and analyses.
