Enact Holdings, Inc. in Raleigh, NC is seeking an Accountant to support financial reporting, internal controls, and accounting operations by performing reconciliations, journal entries, and coordinating across teams to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting. The role involves SOX and MAR compliance, cash monitoring, AP processing, and audit support.

A Bachelor's in Accounting and 1–3 years of U.S. GAAP experience, advanced Excel skills, and strong analytical abilities are required.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years accounting or related experience
• Working knowledge of U.S. GAAP
• Advanced Excel and MS Office
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong time management and ability to handle multiple priorities
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills across teams

Responsibilities

• Prepare and record general journal entries and support close processes.
• Reconcile general ledger accounts and research discrepancies.
• Support SOX and MAR compliance activities and document processes.
• Monitor daily cash and suspense accounts and prepare related entries.
• Collaborate with Operations and other teams on accounting treatments.
• Perform Accounts Payable tasks including payments and ACH/wire requests.
• Support GAAP and Statutory reporting and system maintenance.
• Assist internal and external audits with documentation.
• Contribute to process improvements and special projects.
