Job summary

Braille Institute of America is seeking a Learning Experience Designer to craft engaging, accessible curricula for adults with vision impairment. You will design online, virtual, and in-person programs that follow WCAG and UDL guidelines, while guiding content development with subject matter experts.

You will also build self-paced modules, supportive resources, and assess learning outcomes to continuously improve programs.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Instructional Design or related field preferred.
• Experience designing for older adult learners.
• Strong knowledge of WCAG and Universal Design for Learning (UDL).
• Portfolio of learning design projects.
• Experience in nonprofit/health/human services is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design learner-centered online, virtual, and in-person curricula.
• Apply UDL and accessibility standards to all content.
• Develop self-paced e-learning modules.
• Create synchronous virtual and in-person learning experiences.
• Develop companion resources and job aids.
• Evaluate learning platforms and delivery technologies.
• Collaborate with staff and experts to align designs with goals.
• Analyze learning data to drive improvements.
• Represent design standards in cross-functional projects.
