Job summary

University of California, Davis Health is hiring an Academic HR Generalist to support the Endocrinology, Nephrology and Transplant Nephrology Divisions within the Department of Internal Medicine. This role covers recruitment, onboarding, visas, and complex HR transactions across divisions.

The position reports to the Division Manager and collaborates with divisional leadership, with a hybrid on-site/remote work arrangement and a 100% time commitment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training
• At least one year of experience working with academic and/or HR personnel hiring
• Experience providing administrative support to faculty or managers or high-level executives
• Experience in handling multiple tasks in a busy office setting
• Analytical skills to evaluate funding, payroll, and other data and formulate logical, objective conclusions
• Word processing skills to produce a wide variety of documents accurately and efficiently
• Strong customer service skills, with tact, professionalism, patience, and courtesy
• Ability to exercise discretion and maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive information
• Ability to take initiative, work independently, and collaborate effectively as part of a team
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey information to diverse audiences
• Demonstrated ability to resolve complex interpersonal issues as needed
• Strong organizational skills to ensure documentation is accurate, complete, timely, and maintained in a logical filing system
• Ability to use Microsoft Word and Excel to prepare documents, organize data, and generate reports
• Strong time management skills, with the ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines
