Job summary

RTX in Tucson, AZ is seeking a software engineer to develop and integrate real-time flight simulator software for HWIL facilities. Candidates must hold a DoD Secret clearance and have strong C++ OO skills, plus experience with embedded systems and RTOS environments.

The role is onsite at the Tucson facility, collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams to meet mission-critical requirements and deliver robust hardware-in-the-loop solutions.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or STEM field.
2+ years of relevant software engineering experience.
Proficiency with C++ in OO style and modern development practices.
Active DoD Secret clearance or ability to obtain one prior to start.
Experience with embedded systems and/or real-time software development.

Responsibilities

Collaborate in a multi-disciplinary team to develop software to control HWIL facilities.
Determines end user needs by analyzing system capabilities and ensures standards are met.
Designs and implements build procedures supporting hardware and software development.
Software design, coding and integration in a real-time environment.
May train software developers and contribute to software quality processes.
