Job summary

RTX in Tucson, AZ is seeking a multidisciplinary engineer to join design, development, and integration of missile flight simulation systems. You will contribute to test interfaces, cabling, schematic creation, and FPGA/firmware related work, while helping manage cost and schedule of projects.

The role requires a STEM degree and at least 2 years' relevant experience, with hands-on experience in analog/digital/RF design, FPGA development, and test equipment. Travel up to 20% may be needed.

Qualifications

  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience.
  • Experience performing analog, digital, and/or RF design, or VHDL/Verilog development for FPGAs.
  • Experience with test equipment such as oscilloscopes, DMMs, network analyzers, power meters.
  • Experience working in multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Experience with hardware integration.
  • Experience with FPGA or firmware.
  • Willing to perform business travel up to 20% of the time.

Responsibilities

  • Design, development, and integration of missile flight simulation systems.
  • Develop engineering/test interface adapters, cabling, schematics, and circuit designs.
  • Manage technical, cost and schedule aspects of assigned projects.
  • Collaborate within teams or independently to resolve complex system issues.
