Job summary

Raytheon in Tucson, AZ is seeking an onsite Software Engineer to develop and integrate real-time software for hardware-in-the-loop missile flight simulators. You will collaborate with designers to understand requirements, implement build procedures, and ensure software quality in a safety-critical environment.

The role requires a Bachelor's in CS/Engineering and at least 2 years of experience in C++, embedded software/OS, and software architecture.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or other STEM field and a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
Experience with software development in C++, using object-oriented features.
Experience with Embedded Software, Embedded OSes (Linux, RTOS, VxWorks, etc) or Software Architecture Design and Implementation.
Active and transferable Secret U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date with ability to obtain program access after start.

Responsibilities

Collaborate in a multi-disciplinary team to develop software to control Hardware-In-the-Loop (HWIL) facilities (flight simulators for missiles).
Determines end user needs by analyzing system capabilities to resolve problems on program intent, output requirements and input data acquisition; ensures hardware and software standards are met.
Designs and implements build procedures that are used to support hardware and software product development and use.
Software design, coding and integration in a real-time environment.
May train software developers in the use of configuration management tools and the implementation of software quality standards. Includes control modeling (model based design)
