Job summary

Anduril Industries in Costa Mesa, CA is seeking a Quality Engineering Specialist to monitor, inspect, and improve final products to meet strict standards. You will be embedded within manufacturing, owning MRB processes and driving containment of nonconforming items.

The role requires 5+ years in manufacturing quality, CAD and inspection software proficiency, and the ability to obtain TS/SCI clearance. You will work with cross-functional teams to sustain continuous improvement and data-driven

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent in a relevant field, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years in manufacturing or quality/engineering.
• Experience supporting hardware development and quality management.
• Proficient with CAD and inspection data management software.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Experience with calibrated equipment (calipers, micrometers, CMM).
• Experience reading engineering drawings and work instructions.
• Experience with inspection equipment (x-ray, digital characterization, COFC).
• Experience with AS9100/ISO9001/IATF16949 or similar QMS.
• Must be able to obtain and hold a U.S. TS/SCI clearance.

Responsibilities

• Manage the site MRB process.
• Embed in manufacturing to resolve nonconforming materials.
• Review Manufacturing Work Instructions and provide feedback.
• Support root-cause analysis activities.
• Lead containment and verification of nonconforming parts.
• Coordinate with engineering for dispositions of nonconformances.
• Maintain MRB data and report metrics weekly.
• Execute vendor RMAs to move material from MRB with warehouse/buyers.
• Train technicians to execute inspection plans and data capture.
• Propose and implement QA policies and procedures.
• Perform internal audits per Quality Systems Engineer guidance.
