Job summary

Nextech in Austin, TX is hiring an Installation Technician to install light commercial HVAC/R equipment and related controls. You will organize work by the Manager, keep thorough records, and communicate status clearly.

You’ll maintain a fully equipped service vehicle that you take home nightly; this is a full-time, non-exempt hourly role. Nextech offers a company vehicle, paid training and ongoing development, generous health, dental, and life benefits, a 401(k) with matches, and paid holidays

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; EPA certification required.
• Valid driver's license.
• Minimum of 2 years’ HVACR installer experience.
• Proficient in reading schematics and work plans.
• Knowledge of air conditioning, refrigeration, and heating principles.

Responsibilities

• Drive company vehicle to and from home, branch office, and work sites.
• Coordinate and communicate work tasks with team members.
• Coordinate and communicate work status with customers and officials.
• Maintain complete, accurate, and timely records for the Branch Office.
• Measure and fabricate ductwork to project specifications.
• Install and insulate duct systems; perform gas piping.
• Replace rooftops units and split systems safely and efficiently.
• Read blueprints and ensure timely project completion.
