Job summary

Nextech in the United States is seeking an Installation Technician to install light commercial HVAC/R equipment and controls. You will be assigned by the Manager, keep thorough records, and manage a service vehicle kept at home.

This is a full-time, non-exempt hourly position with growth opportunities. The role includes a company vehicle, daily dispatch from home, paid travel time, tool allowance, and fully paid initial and ongoing training.

Qualifications

• Ability to work efficiently with technology tools including smart phones, laptops, tablets, and software required.
• Knowledge of installation practices and codes for small refrigeration equipment and HVAC systems.
• Demonstrates self-motivation and success in previous jobs and responsibilities.
• Ability to multitask and obtain supervisor approval when needed.
• Must have integrity, reliability and ability to listen to supervision.

Responsibilities

• Drive company vehicles to and from home, branch, and sites.
• Coordinate and communicate work tasks with team members.
• Communicate status with city officials, crane operators, contractors, customers, and managers.
• Maintain complete, accurate records for branch operations.
• Maintain plans, paperwork and files related to work.
• Fabricate ductwork to project specs and install duct systems.
• Perform gas piping installation and layout.
• Replace rooftop units and split systems safely and efficiently.
• Read blueprints and project specs; collaborate to complete projects.
• Follow safety, policies and procedures; document work with photos as required.
• Monitor safety, quality and productivity; participate in training.
