Job summary

Porter Pipe & Supply in Addison, IL is hiring an HVACR Inside Sales Representative to serve as a trusted advisor for HVACR customers, provide product knowledge and proactive solutions, and manage inbound calls while supporting outside sales.

You will cross-sell HVACR product lines, analyze market trends, coordinate with internal teams for pricing and delivery, and maintain detailed records of customer interactions and sales activities.

• Provide product knowledge, technical guidance, and proactive solutions.
• Manage inbound sales calls and support outside sales with customer needs.
• Identify opportunities to cross-sell HVACR product lines and increase account growth.
• Understand and analyze market trends, competitor offerings, and customer requirements.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure accurate pricing, order processing, and delivery.
• Maintain detailed and organized records of customer interactions and sales activities.

What You’ll Bring:

• Minimum of three years of HVACR or hydronic heating experience
• Wholesale distribution experience required
• Bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain management, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience)
• Product/application experience within HVACR preferred

Physical Demands:

• Regularly required to sit, stand, and walk throughout the day
• Must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 lbs and occasionally up to 25 lbs
• Ability to use hands for office equipment and perform computer work
• Requires clear visual, hearing, and speech acuity
• Occasional exposure to temperature changes, noise, or warehouse elements
