Job summary

Kauai Mechanical is seeking a dependable Warehouse Lead to oversee the daily operations of our commercial HVAC warehouse on Kauai. You’ll work with the Warehouse Manager to ensure materials and equipment are available for service and installation crews when needed.

The role requires forklift certification, 2+ years of warehouse experience, and strong inventory management skills with a focus on safety and teamwork in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated proficiency in inventory management practices and cycle counts.
• Experience leading warehouse staff or teams is preferred.
• Familiarity with HVAC/refrigeration components and BAS/controls materials is a plus.
• Proficiency with Service Titan or similar inventory/project-management software.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily warehouse operations – receiving, storing, and distributing inventory for commercial HVAC, refrigeration, and related equipment.
• Provide day-to-day direction to warehouse staff; train, mentor, and develop team on safety and efficiency.
• Manage purchase orders, vendor coordination, and core returns; monitor backorders and returns.
• Coordinate with Service and Installations teams to ensure timely material availability for service calls and projects.
• Maintain inventory accuracy through cycle counts and periodic audits; enforce safety policies and proper handling of refrigerants and hazardous materials.
• Maintain equipment and warehouse cleanliness, organize space, and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
