Job summary

Kauai Mechanical is seeking a dependable Warehouse Lead to oversee daily operations, mentor staff, and ensure timely material delivery for commercial HVAC projects.

You will manage inventory, issue purchase orders, coordinate with Service and Installations teams, and maintain safety and efficiency in a fast-paced warehouse environment on Kauai.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Forklift certification required (or able to obtain within 30 days of hire).
• 2+ years of warehouse experience, with some lead or supervisory exposure preferred.
• Familiarity with commercial HVAC, refrigeration, and BAS / controls materials strongly preferred.
• EPA Section 608 refrigerant handling knowledge and warehouse-level tracking preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily warehouse operations, processing, storing, and distributing inventory.
• Train, mentor, and develop warehouse staff on procedures and safety.
• Issue POs, manage backorders, and coordinate returns with vendors.
• Coordinate with Service and Installations teams to ensure material availability.
• Maintain inventory accuracy and perform regular cycle counts and audits.
• Monitor stock levels and notify the Warehouse Manager to prevent shortages.
• Prepare and complete orders for delivery or pickup; operate company vehicle as needed.
• Organize warehouse stock and optimize space usage; ensure a clean, safe environment.
• Enforce safety policies and handle refrigerant cylinders and hazardous materials when required.
• Track daily logs and inventory in Service Titan and other systems; document EPA 608 requirements.
• Communicate with departments to ensure timely material delivery; identify improvements.
