Job summary

Champions Group is seeking an HVAC Maintenance/Sales Trainer to develop and deliver training programs for new and existing sales and service teams in the Phoenix area. You will ensure team members are equipped with technical and customer-focused knowledge and skills, working closely with leadership to boost performance and efficiency.

Responsibilities include leading hands-on workshops, coaching on sales techniques, and ongoing training material updates.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of proven experience in HVAC sales, maintenance, and/or training.
• Strong understanding of HVAC systems, sales and customer service best practices.
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
• Experience using learning management systems (LMS) or other training tools.
• Willingness to travel, approximately 50% of your time, often staying overnight for work.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver training programs covering HVAC system fundamentals, service techniques, and sales strategies.
• Lead hands-on workshops to reinforce HVAC technical skills including installation and maintenance.
• Train technicians on product features, effective selling techniques, upselling opportunities, and customer service best practices.
• Conduct assessments and provide constructive feedback to support trainee growth.
• Collaborate with sales, service, and operations managers to identify training needs and tailor content.
• Onboard new service team members with foundational training for day-one readiness.
• Monitor industry trends and incorporate knowledge into training materials.
• Gather trainee feedback to refine and improve training programs.
