Job summary

Champions Group is seeking an HVAC Maintenance/Sales Trainer to develop and deliver comprehensive training for both new and existing sales and service teams. The role emphasizes technical HVAC knowledge and customer-focused training, with collaboration across leadership to improve performance and efficiency.

The position requires 5+ years in HVAC sales, maintenance, or training, strong communication skills, LMS experience, and a willingness to travel about half the time.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of proven experience in HVAC sales, maintenance, and/or training.
• Strong understanding of HVAC systems, sales and customer service best practices.
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
• Experience using learning management systems (LMS) or other training tools.
• Ability to motivate and engage team members with diverse learning styles.
• Willingness to travel, approximately 50% of your time, often staying overnight for work.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver training programs covering HVAC fundamentals, service techniques, and sales strategies.
• Lead hands-on workshops to reinforce HVAC technical skills.
• Train technicians on product features, upselling opportunities, and customer service best practices.
• Assess trainees through quizzes, demonstrations, and role-plays, and provide constructive feedback.
• Collaborate with department heads to identify training needs and tailor content.
• Onboard new hires with foundational training for day-one readiness.
• Stay updated on HVAC trends and incorporate new knowledge into materials.
• Gather feedback to refine training programs for continued effectiveness.
• Foster a positive learning environment valuing teamwork and inclusion.
