Job summary

Johnson Controls in New Freedom, PA is seeking a hands-on HVAC test engineer to drive chiller development by ensuring testing is performed accurately, efficiently, and on schedule.

You will partner with Test Engineers, train operators, troubleshoot instrumentation and data quality, and work with product engineering teams to deliver reliable, actionable results while supporting lab operations on a Sunday-Thursday night shift.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree in HVAC, CS, IS, ME, EE or Eng Tech OR 3+ years of equivalent experience.
• 1+ years of data acquisition/control programming and trend viewing.
• Familiarity with industrial HVAC systems and refrigerant management.
• Coordinate between departments to design, build and test components.

• Plan, set up, and execute test strategies for chiller development.
• Train test operators and elevate lab performance.
• Diagnose instrumentation and data quality issues.
• Collaborate with product engineering to align testing with project goals.
